The Society's Publications

Since its formation in 1988 the Society has published 14 Journals containing well-researched articles about local history.
In 2011 the Society started work on a new larger-format publication to replace the Journal.

The latest publication - "Local Studies" - was published in A4 format in March 2012 and contains the results of the work of our members in researching local history. The articles are varied, reflecting the wide variety of interests held by our members, and should appeal to a wide audience.

Also published, in April 2012, 'Local Studies, Wild Flowers'. This is A5 format and contains articles written by the Botany Group members together with almost 100 coloured illustrations of flora to be found in this area. Information has been recorded by our Botany Group and published in earlier journals, but this is the first time we have published their contributions in a separate book. It is a useful resource to our members and visitors to this area.
